3.6 Applications of treatments

3.6.1. Mode of application
Type of application and equipment
Bicycle sprayer, 5 nozzles 4110-12, boom width 2,5 m, water amount 250 1/ha, gas
pressure 2,5 atm. Treatments were made by Riivo Sepp on June 18 between 20.00-21.00;
crop stage at application BBCH 51 (flower buds visible from above ("green bud' )).

3.7. Mode of assessment, recording and measurements
3.7.1. The weather conditions
Vegetation period and soil cultivation started some days later than normal, in last days of
April. The spring and beginning of the summer were suitable for growth and development
of plants. Adequate soil moisture in May and first half of June favored development of
rooting system of the plants. July and first half of August was extremely hot. In July the
