1. Summary

In this study, Albit Liquid Paste was used in spring oilseed rape as micro nutrient. The
effect of the test product Albit was tested in two doses 0,04 and 0,06 1/ha. Trial product
was applied at stage of flower buds (BBCH 51) and was compared with untreated control.

Trial results were highly affected by extremely hot and droughty growing period.

None of used treatments caused visual phytotoxic symptoms in plants of spring oilseed
rape. Single treatment with Albit (40 and 60 ml/ha) in growth stage BBCH 51 resulted in
increase of oil content in the seeds of spring oilseed rape. Treatment with 40 ml/ha Albit
also increased the yield of seeds. Use of Albit significantly reduced chlorophyll content in
harvested seeds indicating more rapid and even ripening of the crop.

2. Introduction

Albit® Liquid Paste is a multi-purpose product of biological origin, containing poly-beta-
hydroxybutyrate from soil bacteria Bacillus megaterium + plant nutrition elements (N, P,
K, S). Albit combines properties of fertilizer, plant growth regulator, and fungicide.

The aim of the investigation was to study the effect of Albit Liquid Paste as micronutrient
in spring oilseed rape at application in stage of bud development. Objectives of the trial
were: to test influence of Albit Liquid Paste on plant growth and to study the dose response
of Albit Liquid Paste. The experiment was carried out in the trial field at Jõgeva Plant
Breeding Institute, Estonia in 2011.

3 Materials and methodology

3.1. Location
The trial was established on the test-field of the Jõgeva Plant Breeding Institute
(58° 44' latitude, 26°23' longitude)
3.2. Crop: Spring oilseed rape, variety Campino.
3.3 Sowing: May 5; seed drill Demeter Combiseed , seed rate 4 kg/ha
